Situated on the west coast of Africa and a former German Colony. British troops occupied the area in WWI and captured German Kamerun stamps were overprinted "C.E.F." (Cameroons Expeditionary Force) and issued in July 1915. The stamps of Nigeria were subsequently used in the area which was administered as part of Nigeria from 1924.
